Meet The Harani Hair Team

Harani Hair is a unisex hair salon boasting two Wella Master Colour Experts. We have a team of talented stylists qualified in all aspects of hairdressing, each with the highest level of knowledge and expertise in the latest cutting and colouring techniques, hair up for that special occasion, and Balmain hair extensions.

Kay & Leissa

Kay and Leissa opened harani hair in December 2003 having worked together for 20 years.

Their team of employed and self employed stylists are highly motivated and offer unrivalled experience, including Emma and Suzanne our Wella Master Colour Experts and Julie who is quallified in Balmain Hair extensions. We are a one to one salon which makes the salon more personal.

Emma

Emma Stephens has a fantastic hairdressing pedigree. Having initially trained with the much respected Keith & Peter group, Emma gained experience throughout Herefordshire before joining a luxury cruise ship as their Senior Onboard Stylist.

After returning to the UK Emma spent a short time in Herefordshire teaching whilst continuing to work as a hairdresser before moving to Cheltenham. So good was her reputation, not just for great styling but also a focused approach to her work, that most of her clients followed her and are still enjoying her services today regardless of the distance they are required to travel. Emma quickly gained notoriety in Cheltenham through her appointment with Mondo's Montpellier and Nicholas White but settled at Harani Hair four years ago where she has worked on a "rent a chair" basis ever since.

Emma enjoys this arrangement as it provides the freedom she enjoys to service her customers to the high standards upon which she insists. After settling into Harani Hair Emma was awarded the Master Colour Award, quickly followed by the Master Colour Specialist and Master Colour Expert - the highest accolade available in Hairdressing. Emma often provides advice and support to her colleagues based on the training she has undertaken but without doubt the ones who benefit most are her many loyal clients.

Richard

Hi I'm Richard, the only male in the salon. I've worked at Harani for seven years now and really love it as we're great friends and are a great team.

I have been hairdressing for over twenty-five years in Gloucestershire, and still love my job. I have a loyal clientele base of very nice people who make everyday different, and I get to be creative as well as catch up on their lives. I would say I do prefer doing short hair as you can do a lot with it, it's a shame most celebrities at the moment have long hair. I have a motto “It's a comb not wand, so never expect miracles – just a great haircut!

Suzanne

Over Suzanne’s 22 years in professional Hairdressing, she has a wealth of experience behind her including working around the world on renowned cruise Liners.

She has acquired the highest level of qualifications available in the industry, including The Wella Master Colour Expert. Suzanne is a senior stylist within Harani and she also teaches NVQ Levels 1 to 3 Hairdressing at a prestigious training school in Hereford. Her passion and dedication to Hairdressing is the same now as it was at the start of her career. Her skills, experience and professionalism means that every one of her clients leaves the salon with a haircut worthy of the red carpet.

Having just had her second little girl 'Josie' in January, she is on maternity leave, but will be back to work on tuesday 15th May 2012.

Charlotte

Hi I'm Charlotte, I've been hairdressing for about 16 years, 7 of which have been at Harani. I have a large and loyal client list and want to give them the best service I can.

We have great colour training in the salon about four times a year with Wella and have entered Wella Trend Vision. I regularly attend cutting courses as well which enable me to keep an eye on the latest trends which I bring to my clients. I also really enjoy wedding hair and have just attended a Patrick Cameron hair up seminar. It gives me great satisfaction creating stunning hair up. As well as all of this I love working with the Harani team, they are truly great and surpportive and it allows us to be creative together.

Julie

Hi i'm Julie. I started my hairdressing career as a barber, then some years later moved into ladies hair; finding a real passion for long hair.

I have worked with hair extensions for many years and I can totally transform anyones hair! In additiom to this I have experience with adapting wigs to appear more realistic and to suit every face shape. On the lighter side, I have some diverse hobbies including: Gloucester Rugby, water sports, wellies and my dog Max.

Lynne

Hi my name is Lynne and I have been hairdressing for about ten years.

I really enjoy all aspects of the industry and especially like the perk of free haircuts for myself! I would like to say I'm outgoing, love exercise and partying but that would be untrue! Reading and a glass of wine keeps me very happy.

Jess

Jess has been at Harani for two and a half years after a move to Cheltenham from South Africa, she fitted straight into the team at Harani, she loves colouring, cutting, and is very creative with hair up.

Jess is back from maternity leave, and is currently working on a Tuesday and a Saturday.

Emma

Hello I’m Emma the receptionist here at Harani. As a qualified hairdresser myself I really do know how the salon works!

I love my job and feel at my happiest meeting and greeting clients new and old, ensuring they have an enjoyable experience in our relaxed and friendly salon.

Julie Morris

Hi my name is Julie. I have been in the hairdressing industry for over 25 years, i previously worked in a small chain of salons in Cheltenham starting as a Saturday girl to finishing as a manager when i left to have my family.

Since then i owned a salon for some years, and now finally settling here at Harani. Its a lot of fun here and every one is very supportive of each other, it's like being in a big family. I enjoy all aspects of the job and its satisfying to see clients leave looking and feeling great.

Having got 3 teenage daughters there's never a dull moment on the hair front at home either.

Sian McNulty

Hi I'm Sian, I have been hairdressing for 10 years and joined Harani in November 2013.

I've always loved meeting new people and being creative, so hairdressing was the perfect job for me!
Over the years I have completed many of Wella's cutting and colouring courses, and at Harani we are very lucky to have continuous training throughout the year in the comfort of our own salon.
